There’s a brand new craze sweeping the nation and it’s called FITNESS. Ever heard of it? It seems like every time you turn on the TV some celebrity is hocking a new workout program, DVD or home gym. But being healthy is nothing to change the channel about. When you feel good, you look good and that’s Step 1 to finding love: Confidence. So not only should you buy that pull-up bar or sign up for that Soul Cycle class, you should look at every opportunity to better your body as a way to better your heart——and I don’t just mean cardio.

Everyone loves a good workout. But not everyone likes to push themselves, which is another tricky step of dating: Step 2: Get yourself out there.

When you’re trying to beautify your bod you have to get yourself out there——the gym, the pool, the track, the mountain. Every day you exercise is an opportunity to meet someone new. Whether it’d be your instructor, another member, or a stranger hiking by, these people are all potential connectors which can lead you to your soulmate. Which is Step 3: Say hello.

Don’t just fall in love with yourself in the gym mirror, make friends with fellow weight-lifters, aerobicizers, and treadmillers. Smile and spread your seed of energy and enjoyment of all things fit. Sign up for classes that you normally wouldn’t take like CrossFit, CardioBarre, or the new tire trend in exercising, Amenzone Fitness——an extreme workout class that uses a tire and you’re own body weight to tone you up.

There are singles EVERYWHERE, and if you’re anything like the rest of the American public you’re following the getting in shape-thang too. So use any occasion to further your fitness as part of your quest for finding love. Which leads me to the final four: Step 4: Never give up.

What does not kill us makes us stronger, always give 100%, to break a sweat you must at first try, pain is temporary but quitting is forever——athletic slogans like this can easily be inter-changed with the journey of seeking out a soulmate. You have to expect tough times when you want to give up. Where you don’t think you can get off the floor, when your body has had enough and wants to go out, but you know you can’t. That’s not what life is about. It’s about picking yourself up and carrying on with what you started.

You CAN finish that marathon, you CAN do that pull up, you CAN get to the top of the mountain, and you WILL find love. All you have to do is lace up your sneakers and get out there.
